New Breastfeeding Cafe in Leicester
Friday, January 30th, 2009Each Wednesday morning from 10-12 women are able to get help and support from other mums, along with trained experts, at the Leicester based venue organised by the La Leche League.
The aim of the venture is to encourage more women to breastfeeding their babies, and to do so for as long as possible.
New Breastfeeding Cafe in Leicester
‘Cafe Mama’ is a new Cafe open in Leicester City Centre to help mums struggling with breastfeeding their babies.
Each Wednesday morning from 10-12 women are able to get help and support from other mums, along with trained experts, at the Leicester based venue organised by the La Leche League.
The aim of the venture is to encourage more women to breastfeeding their babies, and to do so for as long as possible.
The World Health Organisation recommends that infants are breastfed until at least 2 years old, however in Leicestershire only 17% of 3 month olds are recieving solely breast milk.
Cafe Mama is located at the Unitarian Church Hall, East Bond Street and opens on Wednesday mornings from 10-12
