I started out with cloth because my husband suggested it! (Bet there aren't too many like that! LOL) he'd seen an impressive table from our local real nappy project at a local recycling event and told me I should go for cloth. I wanted to do it cheaply, so did prefolds with the first baby. Now, after having 3 children, and having hundreds of differnt cloth nappies (just because they're so fun and addictive) I'm soooooooooo glad my husband got me on them - we love them! :)

There are many reasons why I converted to cloth.

Firstly the cost aspect. Although now I'm 'addicted' that's becoming slightly hazy :-)

Secondly we have jumped on the recycling bandwagon and it didn't feel right making sure everything that could be was recycled yet each week we were piling more and more disposables into the bin!

Thirdly, Cassidy is our 3rd and last child (according to my fiance ;-) ) and I wanted to do everything how I'd always imagined I would but never actually did, including Cloth nappies and breastfeeding, both of which I am now doing successfully :-)

And last but by no means least, they are sooo pretty!!

Where do I begin...

I'll start with... anyone who says a breastfed baby's poop doesn't smell has never had a nappy bin! A nappy pail... is positively rosey!

Furthermore, I've saved lots of money, my baby hasn't had a single nappy rash, the fleecy inserts/barriers are amazing... dry even when the booster is soaked!

No more nappy explosions, no leaks, no more smelly bum, they look gorgeous on my baby's bum and they look gorgeous drying on the washing line :D

Once you try them, you NEVER look back.

Oh far too many to list

Better on the enviroment
Feel good factor
Can be reused on more than one baby
Can be re sold once used
ADORABLE under dresses
Great with baby legs, makes clothes shopping cheaper
Showing them off to other mums anywhere i can
To brag about (yes i like to brag)
No more spending money on disposables or wipes every week
No more explosive nappies
Less bin usage (it shocks me how much less room we use)
Spending money on something usefull rather than something you throw away
Colour co-ordinating with clothes (yes i am that sad)
Never run out of nappies
Oh the list is endless for me x

made me smile when I was reading the reasons - I love making sure people see my baby has a reusable on too! I hate changing baby in public changing facilities coz they tend to smell (due to disposables in the bins!)- but when I do, I make a point of it and show off the reusables :D
reasons for using them- they are gorgeous!, no smelly bins, no constant dragging packs of disposables from the shops, drying them on the line, changing them, no nappy rash, THE CHOICE!, possibility of using for more then 1 child, reselling even once used OR using parts of them as small (but really absorbent!) wipes...i could go on for ever!

Loads of great reasons there - agree with all of them.
Initially for us it was the money and the not having any waste.
Now it is because they just look fabulous - i admit to being feeling good when i use a public changing rooms and other mums have a good look while putting their leaky disposable in the bin and cleaning up the poo up their baby's back.

I thought of another one...they contain newborn poop explosions so much better than disposables!
