Bum Genius V3.0 - May be obvious to some….
Thursday, May 28th, 2009I have a confession…… As I have noted previously, I can be a bit of an activist, particularly when it comes to reading instructions / guidelines on how to do or use things (my husband will testify to this due to the number of times I hand him manuals and ask him to tell me how to!?!?!?).
Needless to say, when I received my new nappies, I did not read the info other than the wash instructions, and I daren’t pass this on to him to read and tell me how to, as this was my new thing not his.
I started to use the smaller insert with the nappies, great for a new born, no leaks, the larger sent to storage for later use. Once my daughter got to about three months however, things started to go a bit AWOL with numerous leakages and wet clothing. The nappies still appeared to fit and I increased the number of changes, whilst starting to get a bit frustrated with the situation. A month later the nappies were becoming a bit snug and I increased their size.
My error became apparent……. Had I read the instructions, I would have seen the larger pad had three adjustments along with the nappies, and could have saved me a lot of washing all round! I should have used the larger pad as soon as she was bigger wetter…..
Will I learn from this and read ahead in future? I doubt it! ‘Try and learn’, will continue to be my moto…..

Lol, that is funny!
I like the new Bumgenius. I find for my 1 year old, I only need the inserts provided at night. What I like, is there is plenty of room for more if we need it in the future! I would consider them wasted for day time use, as they are so thirsty!
