Itti Bitti D’Lish Review

Friday, July 17th, 2009

The Itti Bitti D’Lish nappies are a snap-in system which come in three sizes, which ensures you get the perfect fit for your little person. They have taken the UK by storm of late, and it is easy to see why! Read our review…

Value for money: 3/5

Drying time: 3/5

The bitti d’lish is a snap in nappy, with a gorgeous polyester fluffy outer and a 70% bamboo, 30% organic cotton soaker pad.  The nappies come with an additional soaker for heavy wetters.  The soakers have colour coded studs to ensure placed in the right position, which means you cannot go wrong!

When I first received my medium nappy I could not believe how small it seemed and was sure it would not fit my 17lb baby girl.  I quickly unpacked it and tried it on her and was amazed how it actually fit and how slim it was; she is getting more active by the day and she can definitely move easily when wearing her d’lish limited edition pink polka and tiger print posh pants (all my patterned nappies now have the name “posh pants” in comparison to her now plain looking Bumgenious v3.0, which still is my favourite nappy overall!).

The fluffy outer is so soft to the touch and the limited edition prints are absolutely gorgeous, my pink polka dot is so cute and the tiger brings a smile to my face every time I see her little bottom in it!  The nappy is very absorbent and the folding of the soaker supports this.  The folding of the soaker did take a couple of attempts for me to get right, particularly when using a liner, which needs to be tucked in carefully to avoid leaks at the sides.  The fasteners of the nappy ensure a snug fit, and this can be a challenge for me at times with my little wriggler (velcro wins every time here for my husband who can struggle with the snaps on nappies with his man hands).

At £14 this nappy could get pricey if you were using across all three sizes; I may get use out of the medium without needing to purchase a large, before my daughter is out of nappies, if my son’s weight was anything to go by and she continues to track him in weight gain.

As I keep noting, I am adverse to using a tumble dryer, and this nappy soaker  can take a few days to dry on an airer in doors, and even when I have had sun all day (it happens occasionally in the NE…), the soaker has had to go on the airer to finish off over night.

I would definitely recommend this nappy to others, even if you only had a couple of them in your stash, the snugness, absorbency and gorgeous fluffy touch is worth it in my view.
