Tomorrow!!!!!!
I can’t wait for tomorrow – not just because it is another day, full of fun.
But because tomorrow has the potential to be “New Pants day”. Read on…

fillyourpantscom With my final pay cheque before “full time mother” wages commence ( aka zilch), I thought I would treat myself – or rather treat “missy pants”, her nickname since becoming a cloth baby ( MP) to some pretty pants for her bottom- and while I was at it, I figured I would stock up on the BabyLegs offer while I was at it. And then 3 pairs became 6 pairs because I just couldn’t pick! And then I thought that perhaps it would be worth getting another wet nappy bag…

Whoops – that really hurt!

But when I got the email today – that glorious one entitled “ Your fill your pants order is on its way” then the pain was all forgotten. I squealed a little bit, in the most girly of ways and started getting the excited butterfly feeling in my tummy – at the imminent arrival of a very fluffy parcel.

A very, very fluffy parcel, full of beautiful Blueberry minky nappies, ready for MP to wear.

Now I am wondering if it will arrive in time for me to go to the informal discussion with the teaching agency. Will I be able to show off the pants tomorrow? Will I even be in to collect the delivery? Or will I miss it and have to wait yet another day? Oh no!!!
So now I am feeling the “what if I am out” fear, which is also strangely part of the excitement of waiting for the fluffy parcel.
I am already making plans of what time to get up so that I am dressed and decent for opening the door to Mr Postman! Last time, I wasn’t – poor man.

What if it isn’t even due to arrive tomorrow and I have to have another night of waiting??? Nope, can’ think about that one yet!

So fingers crossed that the exact time he arrives to deliver it – is the exact time between the meeting in the morning and then the meeting in the afternoon when I will be at home, all one hour and fifteen minutes of it. ( was anyone else stressy about the summons from the health visiting team for the 8-12 month check??)

And in fact, now I am begging – PLEASSSSSEEEEEEEEEE let me be in. I want her to wear her new pants very soon so I need to get them washed and dried too! Or at the very least, go to see the health visitor in a pretty dress, comfy bum and funky legs! ( yeah, those cow print ones that match the vests I bought her ;)

Please tell me that I am not the only to get this totally over excited about pants and be ever so pleased that they discovered the magic ( and beauty) of cloth?

Beware of updates – very excited, purple, fluffy updates!

ABOUT THIS AUTHOR

I'm Cath, mum to Hannah. I am currently a full time parent but hoping to extend my career as a primary teacher and teach yoga to children and use my training as a Reiki healer. I was always keen to try real nappies but had no idea there was so much choice. When my friend loaned me a few, I managed to convince my husband that they would save money and bin space. We have been using real nappies ever since and I could quite easily become addicted to filling my shopping basket!
