Little wriggler…..
Friday, August 28th, 2009I vaguely remember this stage with my son, although I must have blocked the nappy changing battles out of my mind for some reason…….. Changing Boo Boos nappies is becoming more and more difficult by the day, with some very messy nappies requiring two of us! Read on…
She will not lie still! Giving her something she would not normally be allowed to play with to hold worked for about a week (her sun tan cream tube…..). Then we moved to a toy, then the floor where she could empty her shelf on her changing table of all of her nappies whilst lying. Now none of these work…. Every change is a battle with her having tantrums and wriggling away, leading to flash backs of the experiences with her brother, which clearly were blocked from my mind!
The worst nappies for changing are the really dirty ones, of which we have at least three a day. I have now perfected the rapid change and opt of Bumgenius as much as possible as velcro so much quicker to fasten. I do dread the next change to see what state the liners were in when I unfasten…… Needless to say they have been some real disasters, and I hate to say that disposables were easier to use and less messy in these instances. Would I go back to them on this basis???? NO WAY!!!! Despite this, just purchased another six Bumgenius V3.0 in new colours to add to my collection having decided 32 simply not enough to allow for drying time when I am back at work……..
I love having strong willed children, despite the challenges! Fortunately the challenges to come are firmly to the back of my mind, and no doubt flash backs will happen as soon as they occur…… First public tantrum still brings shivers to my spine at the thought never mind the actual detail!

Oh wow Lyndsey - again, i could have written your exact post.
Oh the joys of nappy changes. when we are with the baby group, we usually have to double up - one holding the top end, the mummy dealing with the bottom end
good news about new nappies
am seriously hoping that the public tantrum never occurs…. wishful thinking i reckon with a redheaded scorpio baby …. and mummy!
The tantrums have started here….. Next blog! Thankfully only in the privacy of our own home at the mo!
Oh no - good luck.
havign said that - we had a tantrum this morning - over a pen. despite the number of toys she was sitting next to, only the biro she had raided from the table was good enough….
