Mumpreneur Awards

Many of you may have been aware that I attended the Mumpreneur Conference and Awards in Birmingham on Saturday. As part of Business Mum week the event saw a series of fantastic seminars, a chance for some good networking, and at the end of the day, the Awards Ceremony which included the categories of Best Start Up, Best Green Business, Best Online Business, Best Franchisee, Best Direct Sales Rep and the Inspirational Business Mum award. I travelled up with Zoe who runs Opal Products and Connection Events, and the day was a fantastic one, we had a blast!

Of course the highlight of the day was the Awards Ceremony, in which I had been nominated in the Best Green Business Category. First up was the Best Start Up award in which Natalie from Precious Parcels scooped the well deserved prize. Next was the Best Green Business Category, and all I hear is ”The Highly Commended Award goes to Laura Tanner of Fill Your Pants!” I couldn’t believe I had been mentioned for anything up up I trotted to collect my gorgeous certificate and Cupcakes- it was all a bit of a blur! Of course, being a vegan the Cupcakes were donated to Zoe, and Im sure her little girl was thrilled about that!

My good friend Claire from Snugbaby then scooped the prize for Best Online Business, and I was delighted for her, well done Claire!

Overall, I think a fantastic day was had by all, and huge congrats and thanks to Amanda and Laura for organising the event- I shall be looking forward to next year!
