A Gem of a product

Fed up of the post cooking whiffs around the house, especially where curry and fish was involved, I had been working my way through cans of air freshener. Not exactly environmentally friendly.
So it was really great to be asked to check out www.opalproducts.co.uk for  a blog.

I was sent the delicious Avalon Apple Cider, which has a lovely fresh apple and cinammon scent. I started off putting it in the hall way and as we had several visitors, they all remarked on the lovely fragrance as they entered, making it feel really welcoming. I certainly like coming in to a nice fresh scent. The fragrance carries well as I can smell it on the landing and also in the lounge.

A few days later, the in-laws were staying so I fried up onions for our tea. The house absolutely reeked of onions especially in the kitchen. So I moved it into the kitchen and by the morning the only aroma left was a gentle apple scent wafting through the house. I was really impressed since it would have lingered for a good few days usually.

Reading up on the website, there are lots to choose from and what I liked most is that they are non-spill-able and child friendly, which with a 1 year old in the house, is all important. I didn’t want her to be inhaling anything that was going to harm her which was something I really worried about with the sprays. The scent isn’t too strong either, unlike some of the other constant air fresheners on the market that are too strong to start with and then don’t last more than a few days.

They last for 60 days which for £2.69 sounds good to me, considering what lovely scents they seem to have. After that, they suggest rotating the pads and using them in a smaller environment such as a drawer or cupboard – and when I think about the impact of many shoes, I certainly plan on doing that.

They sell several other types, including ones suitable for pet smells and also a range for in car, including gels and hangers. All in all, they are good value for money I think, and come in a good range of scents.
I will definitely get some more when this one runs out. I like the range they have and the fact they are also eco-friendly. In terms of packaging and content they all fulfil eco-friendly and recyclable requirements and are also free of animal testing. I have had lots of positive contact with Zoe, one of the owners of the company and the product arrived very quickly after initial contact so I am sure that customer service will be as good as they promise.

I hope that people have confidence to try the product and find it just as good as I have.
