Funky Little Rascals
Friday, December 11th, 2009So it was time for another assignment, and since Madam Pants and I love our clothes, a clothes review was most certainly going to be an easy one to do…
Or so we thought!
The post office seemed to be attempting to thwart us at every turn, with two attempts at sending me a product to review having failed, we had to resort to a signed for parcel. Good old royal mail huh? Read on…
So – You like your clothes funky, organic and toddler-size? Look no further than Funky Rascals the latest word in organic clothing, available on line.
Laura Hayes, a mother, dedicated to the idea of organic clothes and wanting to be around for her children at the same time as using her skills, decided to get started on her own clothing range for toddlers.
She has come up with some terrific designs, all organic, with hand made designs and often with matching accessories- all most certainly living up to the title of Funky. In the main she has designed some fabulous t-shirts, vests and body suits, incorporating hand stitched characters, featuring wooden buttons and hand made appliqués. Most are designed to fray which adds further texture and interest to the design as the item is washed and aged.
We were sent the “tweet tweet” robin design to try out, since MP likes her black, and it was a great match for her yoga pants. We also loved the lil’ girls rock shirt and are currently twisting daddy’s arms up his back for Christmas.
The cost reflects the time, effort and quality of the work and also the fact they come beautifully packaged.
I was most excited to receive the gorgeous, organic bag, featuring the Funky Rascals logo ( which MP loves to put her purse in and toddle around with). Inside was a pink tissue paper package, wrapped with string. It would make a fabulous present for a new born. Our friend is about to have twins so I may well have a little purchase once I find out what she has had!
As well as the fabulous range of t-shirts, which offers some for boys, some for girls and some that would do for either, there are also matching hats on offer for the designs. And to boot, there are some toiletries for mum and gifts for babies.
All in all, a fabulous product that I would fully recommend people to look at if they are looking for something funky and organic!
