The Issy Bear minky is a pocket BTP nappy and, by far and away, the new favourite in my stash.

I spent a couple of days excitedly waiting for this plus looking nappy to arrive after immediately snapping it up the second I laid eyes on it. I opted for the “Smarties” design as I fell instantly in love with it’s vibrant and playful colours. I was not disappointed.

When it arrived I ripped the package open to inspect my newest arrival. My attention to detail was a thorough as the designers. The minky outer was the softest I have ever felt, the fleecy inner almost equally as luxurious feeling and the included insert a thick yet squishy ultra absorbent pad. I reluctantly popped it in the wash to begin the preparation process. Drying time for the pad is a decent 4 hours on a radiator at full heat. The following day, it was ready to wear.

As a birth to potty (BTP) nappy it is a little on the bulky side and the bum is quite wide but, my daughter looks irresistible in it, fat bum and all! The poppers snap down to adjust for height and there is the option, upon ordering, to go with popper fastenings or aplix. I went for poppers and the fit is perfect.

This is the first nappy yet to contain my daughter’s explosive baby poops and, after spending much time washing stains from her vests, this nappy has been a welcome change for us. Fluid absorbency is second to none and, as my daughter is a heavy wetter I was pleased to find that, after 4 hours, she was still feeling dry and comfortable.

At £17 it is a steal for the quality, length of wear and luxury factor that you can often pay a lot more for nappies of a similar or even lesser standard. In all I would give it a 9/10 with the only downside being the bulkiness on a young baby.

An absolute essential for any stylish baby’s stash!
