As an avid AIO nappy fan, I was really excited and interested at the opportunity to try out a two part system with the new Bamboozle Stretch!
This is the first time I have used a two part system and I used a Bummis Super Brites wrap during testing which seemed to work well with the Stretch.
When my fluffy mail arrived I was delighted to find a truly fluffy nappy! Super soft and cosy to the touch, I can see why this would be wonderful for even the most sensitive of bots, I don’t think you could get a much gentler feeling nappy. The aplix fixings are very neat and easy, and fold back neatly to avoid the dreaded, ‘nappy-sticking-to-everything-else-in-the-wash’ scenario! The Stretch is a birth-to-potty nappy which is easily adjustable using poppers on the front outer, this, combined with the aplix make it an extremely adjustable nappy and I really cannot see it failing to fit all shapes and sizes of bots and thighs! It has a very slim liner which is attached by poppers at the front on the inside, although I think this would benefit to have them doubled up at the back also, as I found that it had a tendency to bunch up and move about when trying to put the nappy on my wriggling baby!
Once on, the Bamboozle Stretch looks gorgeous! It is SO very cute and the fit is really fantastic. It really looks extremely comfortable to wear and compared to AIO birth-to-potty’s, it is very slim and neat (I had it on the middle setting). My only gripe is that you have to put a wrap on top which does add to the bulk a bit at the front where you are effectively having to double up on your fixings, and also, you don’t get to see the fluffiness! That said, the combination still looked good and not too bulky under my little one’s favourite spotty leggings!
After giving the Stretch a few pre-washes it was tested both overnight, and also during the day through baby group (and the nap in the car that followed). I found the absorbency to be pretty good, although not as great as some other BTP’s I have tried, such as the Flip. Overnight, there were no leaks at all, but I did find the nappy to be thoroughly wet through (I don’t feel that the bamboo draws and keeps the wet away from the skin as successfully as something with a microfibre top layer) - perhaps this is a better daytime option, certainly it’s comfortable fit makes it great for wriggly playful babies and the softness of the nappy means there is no rubbing anywhere.
The beautifully soft Bamboozle washes brilliantly and I can see it staying super soft and fluffy for ages, however I was a little disapointed with the drying time. It took almost twice as long as my bumgenius and Flip inserts to dry on the rack but second time around I popped it on the towel rail overnight and it was fine. In summer, I would guess it would line dry well with a good breeze going through it.
I was definitely pleasantly surprised by my first experience with a two part fitted nappy - the Bamboozle Stretch was definitely neater fitting and less bulky than I would ever has expected, and I did find the combination of applying nappy and wrap much easier and less fussy than I thought it would be.
Although this is currently my only non-AIO in my stash I will certainly be using it on a regular basis for daytime, and will enjoy knowing that my baby’s bot is wrapped up in something super-soft, cosy and comfortable and not to mention, ever so fluffy!

We got size 2 for our 5months old. Nappy is so nice to touch and fits perfectly. So much better then good old bamboozle! The only problem is that it takes ages to dry but I was aware of that before. Until it get to its full absorbency we have to wait with overnight testing:) And to be honest, I wish the nappy was available 5months ago, it looks that size 1 would perfectly fit newborn and would last easily for another 5-6 months or so.
Fab review very well detailed and helpful - we are loving our new bamboozle stretch too!
I agree with all points on the review! I’ve tried one of these, I’ve only every tried LL 2 parters before and didnt get on with them, so I was hoping this would be better. They really are amazingly squishy and soft and it does feel such a shame to put a wrap over the top, maybe Tots Bots might develop into making an AIO version, as I love the thought of the squishy softness next to LO’s bum! Anyway it did hold a lot of pee and wasnt as bulky as I thought, LO is only 7lb 12oz so it’s nice getting her into something that doesnt make her look too much like a weeble - better fit then the LL’s. However I wont be getting anymore of these, they take far too long to dry! All in all I thought the material, sizing, price, trimness and fit was fab but takes too long to dry for us and I did think her skin felt a little clammy when I changed her. I think if your already well into 2 parters then this is well worth getting but it deff hasnt convinced me to change from my AIO/AI2’s!
