I just thought I would share in a brilliant recent find!

We are currently living in a shoebox where space is at a complete premium and the Phil & Teds Me Too Portable Highchair has been the answer to all my feeding-time problems!

I was having a complete headache trying to figure out what the best solution would be for finding a good highchair for Honey, one that didn’t take up loads of space when it was standing and one that also folded easily into a small space - I was aware of how annoying I was going to find putting a chair up and down several times a day and was not looking forward to it! Honey is eight and a half months old now and to date, I had been managing to feed her in a Bumbo placed on top of the table which was fine until she figured out that if she lent far enough back or to the side she could pop herself out of it! Meal-times were quickly becoming a bit of a stressful battle to get her to stay in place and to focus on what she was supposed to be doing - eating!

img_0368I kept looking online at highchairs and was aware that I could get one that could attach to the table but those that I had seen were still pretty bulky and also not that cheap - I begrudge forking out lots of money for something that I don’t actually want! I was looking on Kiddicare.com when I came across the Phil & Teds Me Too Portable Highchair and I knew immediately that this looked to be the best solution by far! It looked very simple and stylish (we got the black) and had a very reasonable price-tag of £29.97 which was far cheaper than anything else comparable that I had come across.

When our package arrived we were not disappointed at all! In its collapsed state the seat is so slim and lightweight - perfect for taking out and about or on holiday! It took literally moments to put in place - this really couldn’t be easier if it tried, which, considering most baby gadgets and buggies seem to need a degree in engineering to operate, came as quite a relief! The seat is a lovely depth and very comfortable and the harness is also simple and very quick and easy to use (another rarity!) Once in place, the seat feels extremely secure and I feel so happy and confident that my baby is safe there (I was always a bit worried that something that just clamps on to a table wouldn’t be that stable!).

Honey absolutely LOVES her new chair and is so happy sitting up at the table. She no longer spends her time trying to img_0367escape her seat and it is fantastic being able to let her loose with the finger foods on the table. It is also the perfect solution for finding somewhere to put her when I need to do a tidy-up and mop the floor, or just if she is bored playing with her toys on the floor and it is so quick and easy to put her securely in - brilliant!

I am so delighted with this product and couldn’t recommend it more highly. In fact, when we do move somewhere bigger, I see no reason to go and purchase a stand alone chair as this does the job perfectly, it takes up less space, AND I don’t have to fold it up and put it away each time it is used as it is so unobtrusive that we just keep it in place.

Probably one of the best (non-fluff) purchase I have made so far!

ABOUT THIS AUTHOR

Hello! I am Holly, I gave birth to my little Honey Kea in June 2009 and am loving being a full-time Mum! I was so relieved to come across Fill-Your-Pants when I was pregnant and desperately trying to find practical advice about real nappies. I really liked the idea of using real nappies for all the usual reasons but was so excited to find that they came in so many fantastic styles - with so much choice and great performance results, I was soon hooked!
