Washable Sandwich Bag by Pumpkin Pants
Monday, March 15th, 2010This is my second product review for the fantastic Bespoke Baby Room and is for the wonderfully handy Washable Sandwich Bag by Pumpkin Pants. Read on for the review…
The Washable Sandwich Bag is very simple in both concept and design, which is probably why it is so useful and practical - no gimmicks! The bag measure 7×8 inches - the perfect lunchbox size, and has a velcro strip fastening at the top and a wipeable fabric interior. I sampled the Pink Camo design but these useful little bags come in a range of fabrics, and if you have trouble choosing, Bespoke Baby Room offer a pick and mix multi-buy where you can make a saving by purchasing three bags and mixing up your designs - perfect!
Washable Sandwich Bags are the ideal alternative to using plastic to wrap up your lunch or snacks, especially if you have more than one lunchbox to make up each day - think how many plastic bags you will save on over the course of a week…month….year! I think it is a great example to be able set to your children, to ditch some of the plastic and use recyclable and reusable alternatives for packaging in their every day lives. The simple design is easier for little fingers to wrangle compared with cling-film and also, the colourful designs are so much more fun to bring out at lunch time - you never know, it may even encourage fussy eaters!
Of course, you don’t have to use the Sandwich bag for just sandwiches! It will happily hold anything from fruit pieces and biscuits, to messy bibs, spoons and washable wipes. It would also make a great little make-up or wash bag for taking to the pool or gym.
Although not as robust and slick as the Monkey Foot Wet Bags, the Pumpkin Pants Washable Sandwich Bag is a fraction of the price and so perhaps preferable for kiddies lunch-boxes and general foodie uses. I have certainly been making good use of mine for finger foods and for containing all the messy bits and bobs that accompany feeding an 8 month old baby on the go!

i love that! think that might be the way to go as i hate using clingwrap but boxes take up so much room in bags.
