Bundled Washable Chenille Wipes

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

The lovely Bespoke Baby Room (formally Nappy Wardrobe) sent me some lushious Bundled Washable Wipes to test out and being a big Cheeky Wipe fan, I was really eager to get testing and see how they compared!

Ease of Use: 4.5/5

Value for Money: 5/5

Now first things first, as far as washable wipes go…these are gorgeous!!! The Bundled wipes are so cute, come in a variety of spotty colours (I got the zesty and vibrant orange) and are by far and away the loveliest washable wipes out there! Practicality-wise, you could have a selection of different colours for different uses - Pink for faces and Green for bots perhaps, or obviously if you have more than one child, the could have their own colours.

The second and probably most important thing about the Bundled wipes, and what makes them that little bit special, is the Chenille! It gives them the softest, fluffiest surface, perfect for wiping fresh faces and delicate bots. I first tested them out whilst feeding my 9 month old (messy!) with great success - she was quite happy for me to mop up her face, where usually she can often be, lets say, adverse to the idea! I think the chenille is significantly softer and more gentle than other washable wipes out there which makes it ideal for faces, it also mops the muck up very efficiently so great for hands too.

f_800727Bundled wipes work equally well on the bot and give an efficient and soft clean. My only tiny negative that I found with the Bundled wipes, is that sometimes when mopping up a messy bot, it was a bit frustrating to not be able to really use both sides of the wipe. If you fold the cloth between wipes then you are faced with the coloured cotton side which you don’t really want to use, which just means that you use two wipes instead of one. So I am finding that I have been keeping my Bundled wipes by the high chair ready for face mopping, and at the moment, my little lady has got a cold and so I’ve found that the chenille makes for the perfect gentle nose-wiper-upper!

The Bundled wipes have been washing really well, the colour is certainly just as vibrant and the chenille still fluffy soft. I just pop mine in with my nappy wash or in with a light load so they couldn’t be easier. As I have said previously when reviewing Cheeky Wipes, I don’t know why everyone doesn’t use washable wipes, particularly in the home - they are so so so easy and you save such a lot against the standard disposable wipes, not to mention how much kinder they are to your baby’s skin!

Bundled Washable Wipes are available from Bespoke Baby Room, and are £6 for a set of four wipes. I think they are great value for money and I can see them lasting and washing well for ages. If you are a fan of washable wipes like I am then they are definitely worth adding to your stash and if you have never tried them before, then these are a great place to start! Lastly, it is worth mentioning that these arrived beautifully presented tied up with a lovely ribbon, Bundled also make the sweetest soft toys in matching spotty fabrics, so you could make a new mum very happy with a brilliantly practical and fabulously fluffy present - perfect!

ABOUT THIS AUTHOR

Hello! I am Holly, I gave birth to my little Honey Kea in June 2009 and am loving being a full-time Mum! I was so relieved to come across Fill-Your-Pants when I was pregnant and desperately trying to find practical advice about real nappies. I really liked the idea of using real nappies for all the usual reasons but was so excited to find that they came in so many fantastic styles - with so much choice and great performance results, I was soon hooked!
