I would suggest that they try a couple of different types of nappy before investing in a brand - everyone has different likes/dislikes on nappies i wouldn’t expect them the like the same ones as me!

Use reusable wipes too.. they also save you money, they are more efficient and when you have placed your nappy in the nappy bag, the reusable wipes can go in too and straight into the wash with the nappies.. nothing worse than having dirty wipes to dispose of after putting the nappy in the wet bag!!

Buy pretty nappies, they keep you motivated while you get used to the changeover.

my tip is… get going early, the habit kicks in and you don’t even think of going back to disposables!
Two tips;
Check out lots of different websites to see the various different nappies that are periodically reduced in order to build up your stash a bit at a time.
Make friends with other RN users; that way, you can swap nappies to find the best ones for your baby AND (on a vanity level) not get fed up of your colours!

Don’t buy too many of the same type before you have the baby. You WILL get addicted and want to try different types / colours.

My tip is get a pretty wetbag so you carry on using your cloth nappies when you leave the house. Plastic bags just don’t cut it in my opinion!
I would suggest getting a range of Preloved ones first to save money & find ‘your’ nappies as not all nappies suit all babies. This way you can try them out whilst not spending a fortune & just sell on the ones you dont get on with

My best tip would be - don’t worry about saving the planet (or your pocket) straight away. Ease yourself into reuseable nappies by trying a few different types before commiting to a complete stash and it’s okay to still use disposables to compliment your super-furry, super-cute, super-colourful super-nappies!
My tip is: Don’t be put off by stories of stinky nappy buckets, boil washes and nappy rash-cloth nappying has moved on!
Success-I’ve managed to upload a photo of my little baby-Johnny-without needing to hassle my big baby-Reuben-to help me!

my tip is dont be put off by comments from your mother saying things like “why do you want to go back to that horrible stuff?”!!!
my tip would be, try a few different types and see which ones you get on better with

Remortgage your house because there are so many gorgeous nappies and you NEED to try one of each (at least that’s what I say when hubby comes home to even more fluffy deliveries!)
