Weehuggers are the latest wonder in the FYP store, and boy are ‘wee’ impressed! The Weehugger is a two-part nappy system, featuring a simple, waterproof cover, and optional ultra-absorbent bamboo/organic cotton inserts which sit inside stay-put flaps to keep them in place. Read our review…

Weehuggers covers come in 2 sizes, and each size has its own front-rise adjustment facility, ensuring that you get a perfect fit across the entire size range (6-35lbs). Inside the cover you will find laminated bamboo/organic cotton stay-dry flaps at both the front and back of the wrap in which to slot your insert of choice- these are a great feature which ensures that your insert doesnt shift out of place during wear.

They also feature leg gussets for maximum containment, which are always a bonus, and the covers are available in either Snap, or delightful mitten shaped Aplix fastenings.

The material of the Weehuggers cover varies depending on whether you select a solid colour, or a print. The solids are a polyester PUL, whereas the prints are a laminated cotton. The prints really are lovely to the  touch, and feel a very high quality- however from experience, these are a little more prone to moisture wicking and may not be the best night-time solution as a result.

The Weehuggers cover has been designed to allow you plenty of flexibility in terms of what you put inside it- we have used our Size 2 Weehuggers with the Weehuggers bamboo/organic cotton insert, Bummis prefolds and both the Flip Stay-Dry and Organic Cotton inserts- all fit perfectly, and we have had great success with all so far! We have also heard of the Mothercare Smart nappies fitting well inside these.

The Size 1 is a little more limited in terms of what will fit inside, but of course the Size 1 Weehuggers inserts are the perfect choice, and the Small Bummis prefolds fit also.  

There is also a Soaker-Hugger available for these nappies, which is a super soft fleece hugger which simply slides over your inserts or pre-folds to provide a stay-dry barrier - these can be stuffed to your hearts content to provide an excellent night-time option!

Overall we absolutely love the Weehuggers- they are functional, provide a good fit, are a high quality and are super duper cute- particularly the little mitten fastenings! What more can a nappy addict wish for?!
